Is this TIPS Training?

TIPS is a brand name for a responsible service of alcohol class. My responsible service of alcohol class is listed with the State as Tom Regan Responsible Vendor Training. I am approved by the Colorado Liquor Enforcement Division for both in-person and live-streaming classes.

What is CFPM?

Certified Food Protection Manager Course. This is an accredited course/test. ServSafe is the most common, but there are others such as Statefoodsafety.com

What is Responsible Vendor Training?

Responsible Vendor Training is the term the State of Colorado uses for Responsible Service of Alcohol training.

Do you offer online CFPM classes?

I cannot offer live streaming CFPM classes. For online options go to servsafe.com or statefoodsafety.com

Who needs training?

Alcohol servers, bartenders, managers and owners. Anyone selling or serving alcohol can benefit from this training.

Training is required by the State of Colorado for any person conducting alcohol tastings in a retail liquor store.

Several local municipalities also might require this training.

Can you find my CFPM certificate from my last class?

If you took the test with me, yes.

How long is the class?

Class time is 2 hours plus test time. The test is usually completed in 15 – 20 minutes

I can proctor your CFPM test in-person only

How long is my certification valid?

2 Years in the State of Colorado only.

Who needs to take the CFPM certification?

There must be one CFPM on duty at all times food is being prepared.

Do I have to take the class every two years, or can I recertify?

If you took my course the last time and your certificate is just expiring, yes you can just take the test and recertify. I do not recommend this as I do believe that a little refresher is always a good idea.

How long is the CFPM certification valid for?

5 Years

What is a food handler class?

A food handler class would be a non-certified educational class covering the basics of food safety and job specific training.
